For the third week in a row, silver coin melt values are up as the price of silver continued its weekly climb. The London Fix for Silver on Friday, January 20, 2012 was $30.36 an ounce.
The precious metal had a London Fix last week Friday of $29.64 an ounce. The Friday before that (January 6th) silver had a Fix of $29.40.

Silver had London Fix’s that were both higher and lower during the week. On Monday, the precious metal had a Fix of $29.90 which was up $.26 from the previous trading day. On Tuesday, silver rose again, this time to $30.41. A downward Fix came on Wednesday with $30.15 with Thursday moving back up to $30.79. Friday showed a decline to the aforementioned $30.36 an ounce.
The $30.79 an ounce of Thursday now ranks as the high spot of 2012. The low is currently attributed to the 3rd of January when the London Fix was $28.78 an ounce.
